Card-Making Events at the Library
When Jen Rubino founded Cards for Hospitalized Kids in 2011, the Des Plaines Public Library immediately wanted to help. The Des Plaines Library has been hosting card-making events for CFHK since fall of 2011. Other libraries in Illinois have started hosting these events as well as libraries all over the United States.
Attending a card making event is a great way to have fun and make a difference. Attendees are not required to stay the entire event. Service hours can be earned for attending an event. Many libraries throughout Illinois host regular card-making events. These include: EverGreen Park Public Library, Niles Public Library, Lake Forest Library, Chicago Public Library, La Grange Public Library, Prospect Heights Public Library District, Glenview Public Library, and others. Additionally, libraries in other states now host events as well. Please check with your local library regarding the dates of upcoming events as CFHK is not always aware of these events in advance. |
