Guidelines for Making Holiday Cards
Q: What Holidays does CFHK accept cards for?
A: We distribute cards for all major holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, the Winter Holidays: Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, etc., Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter/Happy Spring, the 4th of July etc.
Q: What are the holiday card-making guidelines?
A: Holiday guidelines are the same as for general cards; the only difference is that you include a happy holiday message specific to the particular holiday, such as "Happy Valentines Day", "Have a great Thanksgiving", "Happy Halloween" etc.
A: What are the rules regarding glitter, and similar craft products?
A: As with general cards, the only rule is that the product is not excessive to the point of falling off, as that can create health concerns for some patients.
Q: Can I also include general messages?
A: Yes. You can also still include general messages from the Make Cards section, such as “Stay Strong” or “Never Forget How Amazing YOU Are” etc., along with the holiday message. It is entirely up to you.
Q: When should I send in holiday cards?
A: Holiday cards can be sent to us at any time. There is no concern for sending them “too early”, only too late.
Q: What is the deadline for sending holiday cards?
A: In order to ensure enough time for distribution, we prefer to receive holiday cards at least 2 weeks prior to the holiday. However, we can accept them up to 5-7 days prior to the holiday, if necessary.
