CFHK Card-Making Events at Local Libraries in the US

Libraries in Illinois, as well as other states across the US, regularly host card-making events for CFHK throughout the year. Below is a list of some of the upcoming, and past, card-making events for 2023. The list is organized by state.​ Some libraries host drop-in stations to make cards for CFHK throughout the month, which are are listed below as well. Attending a card-making event is a great way to have fun and make a difference. Service hours can be earned.

NOTE: This page will be updated for 2025 soon, and the 2024 events removed. In the meantime, you can find upcoming events listed below the 2024 ones. The libraries listed for 2024 may have cards events planned CFHK is unaware of, so we suggest contacting them directly to be sure!

  • Park Ridge Public Library: Card-Making events are held on Fridays in the teen lounge on the second floor. 
  • Vernon Area Public Library: Teens can make cards at the library anytime for volunteer hours. Here are the details.
  • La Grange Park Public Library: Kids and teens can make cards at any time using a take-home kit. Here are the details.
  • Blue Island Public Library: Kids can make cards at the library anytime June 2oth - 27th. Here are the details. 
  • Homer Township Public Library: Teens can make cards at the library anytime, for service hours. Here are the details. 
  • Schamburg Public Library: Teens can make cards at the library anytime, for service hours. Here are the details. 
  • Orland Park Public Library: Teens can make cards at the library during June & July for service hours. Here are the details.

  • Bertie County Public Library: People can stop by to make Valentine's Day cards at any time during the month of January.

New York:​
