Volunteer for CFHK

Volunteering with CFHK is an easy, yet impactful, way to make a difference. We do not have requirements on the length of time that volunteers must commit to, which makes this a great option for students and individuals needing to earn Volunteer or Service Hours. We've had some students who volunteer with CFHK long-term and log hundreds of hours. And other students who simply need to fulfill a couple hours of service requirements. All involvement is welcome!

Students can get involved by either volunteering at CFHK headquarters in Illinois or by earning service hours for making cards for CFHK. Please find further information on both opportunities via the links below.

Volunteer for CFHK by Making Cards

Students across the country, of all education levels, have successfully earned volunteer / service hours with CFHK.
Using our card-making guidelines in the "Make Cards" section, students can make cards and then send them to CFHK for distribution. Throughout the process, they document their efforts by taking photos and keeping a time log. CFHK can sign service forms and/or provide a service letter on letterhead. This is a great service opportunity and can be done from any location.

Volunteer for CFHK at Headquarters in Illinois

CFHK is always seeking volunteers to help with card-sorting, processing and distribution preparation operations at our office in Chicago. Volunteers must be in grade 7 or above.  This is a unique opportunity to help hospitalized kids in Illinois and across the country.  Students can earn service hours for volunteering, and can list this as an extra-curricular activity on college applications, scholarship applications, resume, etc. This opportunity is solely for people located in Illinois.
