Hosting a Card-Making Event for CFHK
Individuals, companies and groups can host their own card-making event for CFHK. Card-making events are a great way to have fun and give back at the same time. The event can be as big or small as you wish. Over the years, individuals and groups have hosted events of all different sizes--from large scale corporate events with hundreds or thousands of people, to small community gatherings and everything in between!
Corporate companies, small businesses, schools & colleges, Girl Scout troops, sororities, community organizations and teams are a few examples of the many individuals and groups that have made a difference in the lives of hospitalized kids by hosting their own CFHK card-making event. Often, national companies opt to host card-making events at several of their locations rather than a centralized event. Examples include: LabCorp, Target, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Hershey, Anytime Fitness, Sephora, UPS and more. CFHK is also approved on the Benevity platform where companies can log service hours for their CFHK event. The checklist below can be helpful for planning a card-making event. Supportive materials for an event, such as the CFHK Factsheet, Card-Making guidelines, etc, can also be found on the supportive files page. The CFHK Logo can be used promotion of your event on social media and/or in flyers/promo materials. If need assistance designing a graphic or flyer for your event, please email team member Nina. If you'd like CFHK's assistance crafting a press release for your event, please also email Nina. Our team is happy to help! We've successfully helped groups obtain local coverage of their card-making event such as: this story on NBC4 about teens hosting card-making events. After the event, you can mail the cards to CFHK headquarters to be distributed to hospitals. You'll receive a thank you note in the mail after your cards are processed. Since the the pandemic, many schools and companies have hosted virtual card-making events via Zoom.
